We have had a small little pond for a couple of years and it looked like the photo below previously – Impatiens on each side, the Lady in the Wind statue in the back, Arbor holding double Impatiens and a Fuchsia, some flagstone around the small pond.
I wanted to add a small waterfall to create more interest to the feature and provide more pleasing water sound in the garden.
I love to find good deals, so I was happy when I found some stone on an auction very cheap. This was the kind of stone they use on fireplaces and walls – flat on one side and fairly uniform. Perfect for not only the border around the pond liner, but also very stackable for around the waterfall. The only other purchase required was the waterfall spillway, a must for providing leak-proof water flow – $20. I already had a spare pump and tubing. Total project cost – $32.
