Our Finest Garden Tour 2021

This was a a year to remember. We had drought for two straight months, June and July, during the most important time to start up the gardens. Fortunately we have a good amount of shade and that helped keep things from burning up.

We were also preparing for a special event. A local PBS station – Pioneer PBS – was coming to do a filming for their show ‘Prairie Yard and Garden’. We also were one of the stops for a garden tour sponsored by the MInnesota Water Garden Society.

With all that going on, it was a year to go all out. We created a new area of interest in the hosta garden, planted many extra flowers and pots, and made a themed area called Fairyland.

After a lot of work and a lot of watering we ended up with a beautiful yard and spectacular gardens.

We had great weather for both the garden tours and the TV show filming.

The Prairie Yard and Garden episode will not air until 2022, possibly in February. Stay tuned for more info on that.

So, the best way to present this is with a video. Please enjoy this presentation and share the YouTube with your friends. Thanks for viewing!
